Denver moving & cleaning FAQ

How do you hold the flat price steady?

The quote is built from three things: how much you are moving or how much cleaning is involved, how tricky the place is to get in and out of, and the miles. We settle on one figure from that and stand by it. Provided the job is what you described, the number never moves while the crew works, so what you pay at the end is what we named at the start.

Is the crew your own staff or subcontracted?

Ours, every time. The movers and the cleaners are Lifestyle Moving and Cleaning employees, trained and background-checked, working out of the north Denver metro, and we run each job in-house. No broker skims a fee and nobody you have never met turns up at your door.

When and how do I pay?

You settle up once the job is done, apart from the small refundable deposit that held your date. We take card, check, or cash, and you approve the final flat figure on the spot, whether it covered the move, the clean, or the two together.

Do you take a deposit?

Just a small, refundable amount to hold your date and your crew, and that is the whole of it. The balance is due once the work is finished, whether that is a move, a clean, or both, and the estimate itself is always free.

Do stairs, a piano, or the altitude add charges at the end?

No. Three flights in a walk-up, a piano or a gun safe, the long carry from a downtown loading dock, all of that is written into the flat price before we lift a thing, so the figure never drifts past what we quoted, thin air and all.

Do you actually do cleaning, or just moving?

Both, for real, it is in our name. Alongside the moving crew we run a cleaning crew that does move-out and move-in cleans and one-time deep cleans: kitchens and appliances, bathrooms, floors, baseboards, and the inside of cabinets and closets. It is the kind of clean a landlord or buyer inspects, not a quick wipe-down.

Can you move me out and clean the old place the same day?

That is our whole reason for being. The moving crew clears the place, and the cleaning crew comes in right behind them to scrub the empty unit top to bottom, so you hand back keys the same day and give your deposit its best shot, all on one combined flat price and one point of contact.

Do you move in Denver winters and snow?

Year round, snow included. Our crews are used to icy driveways and slick apartment stairwells, so we salt and shovel a path where we need to, keep runners down, and take the footing slow. If a genuine blizzard shuts the roads on your date, we reschedule at no charge, but most Front Range snow days we work straight through.

Can you take a piano or other really heavy items?

We do, and it is already inside the flat price. Uprights and grands, gun safes, gym racks, and the rest of the heavy, awkward stuff go on the right dolly with proper straps and padding, carried by people who have moved plenty of them up and down Denver stairwells.

Do you deal with high-rise and HOA insurance certificates and rules?

Yes. A lot of the downtown and Cherry Creek towers want a Certificate of Insurance and a booked elevator or dock, and plenty of the suburban HOAs have their own move-in windows and gate rules. Send us what the building or community asks for and we file the COI and lock the window in ahead of time.

Can I book just labor, or loading for a POD or rental truck?

You can. Hire the crew for the muscle alone and we will pack or empty a rental truck, a POD, or a moving container, or shift a few heavy pieces around inside, everything padded and stacked tight, on the same single flat price.

How far ahead should I book?

The sooner the better in a busy metro, but we keep room for short notice. A week or two out is comfortable; even so, plenty of our jobs are same-week or next-day, cleaning included. Give us a call and we will find you a slot.

Will my floors and walls come through without marks?

Runners go down over the floors, the door frames and stair rails get padded, and every piece of furniture is blanket-wrapped before it moves. Both places come through unmarked, whether it is a tight downtown loft hallway or a Highlands Ranch staircase.

Which parts of the Denver metro do you cover?

The whole metro and out to the Front Range edges: Denver and the close-in neighborhoods, the north suburbs around Thornton, Westminster, and Northglenn, the south side through Littleton, Centennial, and Highlands Ranch, west to Lakewood, Arvada, and Golden, and east to Aurora and Commerce City. Leaving Colorado? We do long-distance too.
